The Jackson Hole Fall Arts Festival

The Fall Arts Festival features local artistsArtists and art lovers flock to Jackson Hole in droves every year during the Jackson Hole Fall Arts Festival. This year, the art fest takes place September 5–15.

The 2013 Fall Arts Festival program is online and it’s a great resource for visitors during their time visiting the tents, perusing the galleries, and exploring all that Jackson Hole has to offer.

Jason Rich is the featured artist at the 2013 Fall Arts Festival, and Rich’s work is a must-see during your time at the fest if you’re a fan of western motifs in artwork.

The entire schedule for the Fall Arts Festival is filled with events, activities, and must-dos. Here are a couple of showings that you’ll find us attending:

Jackson Hole Events, RARERARE Gallery opens with Rick Armstrong’s show “Through the Eyes.” Armstrong is a long-time local, a ripping skier, and an uber-talent! Rick’s last year has been devoted to preparing for tonight: the first release of “Through the Eyes.” Using cutting-edge mixed media techniques, Armstrong has compiled a group of work that will leave you satisfied intellectually and content visually.

The Third Thursday Art Walks are always great in Jackson, but the Art Walk moves from Thursday to Wednesday during the Fall Arts Fest. So, on Wednesday night (September 11), 30-plus Jackson Hole galleries will open their doors for your perusing pleasure. This is a great way to get a feel for the local art scene.

Jackson Hole Resort Aerial Tram Our advice during the Fall Arts Festival: Don’t forget to spend some time outside exploring the world-renowned surroundings that make Jackson Hole such a special place. A tram ride to the top of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is a must-do. There are miles of trails to explore and breathtaking vistas to soak in. A tram ride costs anywhere from $32 (for adults) to $16 (for children). But there are discounts available online if you visit and purchase online.
