What Activities Are Available This Summer?
Following guidance from the White House, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and state and local public health authorities, Yellowstone National Park and Grand Teton National Park are open to the public on a limited basis.
You can expect heightened measures in place to ensure the health and safety of visitors, residents, and staff that will result in some reduced vendor operations and limited facilities during your visit.
However, you can still experience the very best of Jackson Hole and our Guest Services team can provide recommendations, reservations, maps, and the latest updates on operations and available activities.
Our Top 10 Jackson Hole Summer Activities
This summer you’re invited to embrace the wide-open spaces of Wyoming and explore the “Last of the Old West” with mountains of experiences and adventures you won’t find anywhere else on earth.
Pedal the Pathways
Once you arrive, a great way to get introduced to Jackson Hole is a ride on our extensive network of paved pathways linking Teton Village, the Town of Jackson, and Grand Teton National Park. Bike rentals, including pedal assist e-bikes, are available at area cycle shops.

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort
While summer operations are adjusted for guest and employee safety, the Bridger Gondola opens May 30 for sightseeing. Many of the resort’s other activities are scheduled to open June 20, including the Bike Park, Via Ferrata, and Climbing Wall.
The resort’s Aerial Tram is closed this summer.

Whitewater & Scenic River Trips
One of our most popular attractions for visitors and locals alike is the Snake River. Guided whitewater and scenic river trips offer either an adrenaline-pumping, exhilarating experience, or calmer option to take in the stunning surroundings and wildlife.
Fly Fishing
Set your hook in a large trout with an experienced outfitter on the pristine waters of the Snake River in a drift boat. Meet your guide at the hotel for your half or full day of instruction and fishing for an experience that is ideal for a solo angler or couple.
National Park Tours

Wildlife Safaris
Bison, bears, birds, and beaver join our other furry fauna friends in welcoming you on a Wildlife Safari in Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. Ride in a customized safari-style vehicle as your seasoned guide takes you to observe moose, elk, wolves, pronghorn, eagles and more.
Horseback Riding
You can’t visit the Cowboy State without saddling up for an authentic Western experience, highly recommended for families and small groups. Trail rides leave from Teton Village as well as wranglers offering rides in the parks and national forest while surrounded by stunning Teton views.
Hiking
Experience off-the-beaten-track solitude among stunning backdrops with a naturalist guide in the mountains surrounding Jackson Hole or in Yellowstone National Park.

Mountain Biking Adventures
