Il Villaggio Osteria offers a dynamic and delicious dining experience grounded in Italy’s finest tastes and experiences. Created by celebrated Chef/Owner Roger Freedman, the restaurant’s menu draws from many regions of Italy with a vast selection of antipasti, primi, secondi and wood-oven pizza.
The restaurant’s house-made primi, or pastas, include Beef Cheek Ravioli; Ricotta and Porcini Cream Stuffed Shells; Orecchiette with Spicy Sausage and Rapini; and Red Wine Risotto with Truffle Butter and Wild Mushrooms.
Il Villaggio Osteria’s distinct selection of hearty entrées includes Osso Buco Milanese; Barolo-Braised Short Ribs; Bisteca Fiorentina with garlic and smashed fried potatoes; rich Cioppino with seasonal shellfish; and Brick-Roasted Chicken with raisins, olives and pinenuts. The thin-crust fire-blistered pizzas give diners the option to experiment with a variety of seasonal ingredients and varied toppings such as Goat Cheese, Leeks and Pancetta; Egg, Guanciale, Radicchio, Escarole and Bagna Cauda; Lardo; in addition to classic combinations like Margherita or Pizza Bianco with fresh herbs.
This 65-seat restaurant offers a predominantly Italian wine list of approximately 150 selections by the bottle, with 10-15 different varietals poured by the quartino. The restaurant opens up to a large al fresco patio, complete with wood-burning fire place.
