The town of Jackson Hole is a pretty 12 mile drive from the hotel, and offers ample opportunity for enjoying our old west style and new west culture and arts.

Summer in Town
In the summer months the town hosts a robust farmer’s market every saturday morning and lively events throughout the season. The Snow King resort area in town hosts weekly live concerts, and the Jackson Hole Rodeo takes place every Saturday and Wednesday evening. There are countless other summer events and attractions, and our concierge can help you plan and reserve whatever you need.

Along the wooden sidewalks that line the town square you’ll find a variety of shops and boutiques, ranging from trendy fashion to artisan crafts to upscale home and sporting goods. Our concierge staff can help guide you to the sorts of stores that suit your needs.

Arts & Culture
Jackson Hole is known as a home to some of the nation's best wildlife and nature artwork and photography, housed in private galleries around the town square. The National Museum of Wildlife Art boasts 550 different wildlife artists in the permanent collection. In addition to 14 galleries, the museum has a Sculpture Trail, Museum Shop, Rising Sage CafĂ©, Children’s Discovery Gallery, and Library. The Jackson Hole Center for the Arts is home to exhibitions, classes, speakers, live concerts and performances.

National Parks & Wildlife

The Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem is the largest ecosystem in the northern temperate zone of the earth. Hotel Terra is right in the center of all of that wild beauty. Bison, elk, moose bear, antelope, fox, wolves, big horn sheep and many more also call this spectacular area “home".

Yellowstone National Park
2.2 million acres of gorgeous, varied and epic landscapes, rare animals roaming free, explosive waterfalls, and pristine lakes: this is Yellowstone, America’s first national park. You can enlist our adventure specialists to help map your journey or hire one of our preferred guides to help you, as you explore this incredible world, just 60 miles to our north.

Grand Teton National Park
We’re less than a mile from the entrance to Grand Teton National Park, home to the dramatic jagged Teton mountain range, countless stunning vistas, lakes, rivers, and hikes that will inspire and thrill you at every turn. You’re likely to see moose and bear and many other rare animals as you explore and play in this dazzling park.

National Elk Refuge
Home to the largest Elk herd in the world, numbering 14,000, the National Elk Refuge winds along the perimeter of the town of Jackson, and offers winter sleigh rides and summer tours that let you get “this close!” to these majestic creatures. You’re also likely to spot bison, wolves, trumpeter swans and bald eagles in this beautiful, vast area.

Some compare Jackson Hole and the surrounding area to the Serengetti, with rare wildlife so plentiful and magnificent throughout. Whatever your activity you are bound to spot something special and surprising as you explore.

Teton Village

Walk Festival Hall
This beautiful concert venue next door hosts regular concerts from the legendary Grand Teton Music Festival orchestra throughout July and August.
