That feeling might be a memory for most, but those lucky enough to wake up on Christmas morning in Hotel Terra will get a glimpse of what it was like when they were kids. Here’s a guide to making Christmas in Jackson Hole perfect. From beginning to end, following this plan will make Christmas Day unforgettable!
Start early on Christmas morning with room service or a quick (but delicious bite) from Terra Cafe. Our in-house restaurant is a local favorite for breakfasts, the Powder Hound Burrito was voted “Silver – Best Breakfast Burritos” by Jackson Hole locals and are the perfect way to start Christmas day.
After breakfast, can you imagine unwrapping a better present on Christmas morning than 4,139 vertical feet of top-to-bottom skiing? Jackson Hole’s skiing and snowboarding has earned a reputation for being the best in North America, and an early start on Christmas morning means you’ll have the entire mountain to yourself. Start with a few warmups on Rendezvous Trail because it usually gets groomed early and the corduroy is amazing. Then, venture in to some of Jackson Hole’s world renowned advanced and expert terrain. At 1 pm, Santa will be spinning some laps on Teewinot.
For lunch, slide down to Teton Village and grab a bite to eat Spur in the TML. If you want to stay on the mountain for lunch, consider he Couloir Restaurant or Rendezvous at the top of the Bridger Gondola. The Couloir is a full-service option and reservations are recommended, and Rendezvous is a casual spot. Both boast floor-to-ceiling windows with breathtaking views of the mountain!
Après on Christmas should be a bit more festive than normal. And, there are a few places in Teton Village that will be serving up eggnog and hot toddies to celebrate the holidays.
Dinner at Il Villaggio Osteria will put an Italian spin on Christmas.
Sounds like the perfect way to spend Christmas in Jackson Hole!
