You won’t find a single Jackson Hole local who isn’t raving about the last 5+ months of skiing and riding in the Tetons. “All time,” “best ever,” and “unreal” are commonly used superlatives you’ll hear long-time locals throwing around when discussing this winter. At Hotel Terra, we cannot agree more—this winter was amazing!

#5: Gaper Day
We look forward to April Fools Day every year, it’s not a joke. Like clockwork, you can trust on the comedy that ensues during this unorthodox Jackson Hole holiday.

3. “Unwrapping” the best Christmas present imaginable: 2 feet of fresh.
We had good days this winter before Christmas, but the storm that dropped more than two feet of cold, dry powder onto Jackson Hole Mountain Resort at Christmas foreshadowed the amazing conditions to come. Two feet of fresh snow for the holidays in Jackson Hole? It doesn’t get any better than that!
We’ve known it all along: Jackson Hole is the best. Period! When SKI Mag tallied the votes, the numbers showed that everyone agrees. SKI Magazine named determined that Jackson Hole is the best ski resort in North America. JHMR earned top honors in overall satisfaction, character, variety, and challenge—the four most important categories!
1. February (and March)!
With more than 11 feet of snow throughout the month, this February was the snowiest we’ve seen since 1986. It started strong and didn’t stop. The snow was perfect, the terrain was primed, and 28 days of powder made everyone loose their minds in Jackson Hole. Then, just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, it did! March came in like a lion and never looked back. From Corbet’s to the Hobacks and Casper to Cody, February and March combined to create 59 unforgettable days of skiing and snowboarding!
Thank you to Hotel Terra’s guests and visitors, Hotel Terra’s terrific staff, JHMR, and Jackson’s locals! The 2013–14 ski season is one we’ll remember forever. Now, onward to summer!
